Allcroft Point (53˚36'00" 130˚04'00" SE entrance to Petrel Channel between McCauley I and Pitt I). Flying Officer Frederick Charles Allcroft, from Lund, was killed in action on Jan 3, 1944, aged 20. He was awarded the DFC in 1943, while serving with the RCAF No 61 Squadron, for making successful bombing runs on targets at Essen and Dortmund despite the fact that his aircraft had suffered substantial damage from enemy gunfire. Allcroft is buried at the Berlin 1939–1945 War Cemetery, Germany....
