Alleyne Island (52˚05'00" 128˚20'00" S of Stryker I, SW of Bella Bella). Cdr Victor Percy Alleyne (1887–1952), born at London, England, was a retired RN officer living on Vancouver I when WWII began. He had married Elizabeth Helen Wace at Shawnigan Lk in 1929. Alleyne re-enlisted with the RCN and was placed in charge at HMCS Givenchy, part of the naval station at Esquimalt.
