Argyle Islet

Argyle Islet (48 ̊19'00" 123 ̊36'00" E side of Becher Bay, S end of Vancouver I). Thomas Argyle (1840–1919), born at Birmingham, England, joined the Royal Engineers and came to BC with the Columbia detachment, which served in the province 1858–63. He was the company armourer and had the rank of sapper (or private).
