Arnold Point


Arnold Point (52 ̊06'00" 131 ̊08'00" W side of Kunghit I, off SW end of Moresby I, QCI). Nathan Arnold was bosun’s mate on the first fur-trading voyage of the Columbia Rediviva, under Capt John Kendrick (and later Capt Robert Gray), to the BC coast in 1788. Arnold joined the Columbia in Boston in 1787 and remained on it for three years. He and bosun John Annis (see Annis Point) were each paid two pounds five shillings per month. Named by the hydrographic service in 1948.
