Ashlar Cove (50 ̊16'00" 125 ̊21'00" NW side of Quadra I, N end of Str of Georgia). Ashlar is dressed stone, square or rectangular in shape and evenly faced, used in masonry. Ashlar blocks usually have a rough finish and in the past were frequently used for walls and the exteriors of buildings. Today ashlar is more commonly used as a facing.
