Athlone Island

Athlone Island (52 ̊11'00" 128 ̊26'00" One of the Bardswell Group, S side of Seaforth Channel, W of Bella Bella). The 1st Earl of Athlone, Sir Alexander Augustus Frederick William Alfred George Cambridge (1874– 1957), was sworn in as Canada’s 16th gov gen in 1940 and served until 1946.
