Atkinson Island (50 ̊53'00" 126 ̊51'00" N side of N Broughton I, NE of Port McNeill). Thomas Hall Atkinson was assistant surgeon aboard HMS Sutlej, the flagship of Rear Adm Joseph Denman, who was cdr-in-chief of the RN’s Pacific Station, 1864–66, and based at Esquimalt.
