Aurelia Rock

Aurelia Rock (52 ̊21'00" 128 ̊28'00" W entrance to Moss Passage, Milbanke Sd, NW of Bella Bella). Aurelia Yale (1837–1931) was born at or near Ft Langley, where her father, James Murray Yale, was the HBC’s chief trader, 1834-60, and her mother a Fraser Valley First Nation woman. She went to school in Victoria, and in 1857, at Ft Langley, she married John Duncan Manson, son of chief trader Donald Manson, who had a long career with the HBC and was superintendent of the New Caledonia...
