Azimuth Island

Azimuth Island (53 ̊32'00" 129 ̊59'00" W end of Evinrude Passage, off N side of Anger I, W side of Pitt I). A 1921 coast triangulation party under Alfred Wright, a surveyor with the BC Lands Service, applied a number of surveying- related place names to this region. Associated names, including this one, were added by the hydrographic service in the early 1950s.
