Barugh Shoal

Barugh Shoal (51˚19'00" 128˚14'00" NW of Virgin Rocks in the Sea Otter Group, Smith Sd). Named by the hydrographic service in 1948 to honour Walter Bird Barugh of Victoria, a wireless operator on the W coast survey vessels William J Stewart and Alberni, who had died the previous year at the tender age of 23.
