Beaumont Shoal (48˚27'00" 123˚12'00" In Haro Str, NE of Chatham Is, E of Victoria). Ernest Godfrey Beaumont (1874–1967) was born at London, UK, and educated at Cambridge. He immigrated to Victoria, bought land on S Pender I and married Constance Ida Hay Currie (1874–1952) about 1921. In 1918 he bought half of Discovery I, just E of Victoria, from the estate of Warburton Pike and lived there for almost half a century.
