Beeton Point (52˚12'00" 128˚28'00" W side of Athlone I, W of Bella Bella). Ann Beeton (1804–84) was the first white woman to settle in the Metchosin district, W of Victoria. She and her husband, Thomas Blinkhorn (1806–56), arrived in BC in 1851 with her teenaged niece, Martha Cheney. In partnership with Capt James Cooper, a trader, they established 160-ha Bilston Farm.
