Benn Point

Benn Point (52˚17'00" 127˚45'00" E side of Cousins Inlet, SW of Ocean Falls). Sir Ion Hamilton Benn (1863–1961), Conservative MP for Greenwich, England, 1910–22, and also a former mayor of Greenwich, was one of the promotors of the original Ocean Falls Co, which went bankrupt in 1913. He visited the area in 1908. Benn, who was born in Ireland, was the chairman of Price & Pierce Ltd, a leading British timber company.
