Borthwick Rock (52˚56'00" 129˚31'00" S of Estevan Group, Caamaño Sd). Ralph Borthwick (1838–1921) was a well-known Victoria pioneer and old-timer. He was born at Manchester, UK, and arrived in Victoria when he was 20. In 1863 he married Isabella Keir (1849–1880), who died of TB, leaving four children; his second wife, Phoebe (1840–1907), was born in Kent, UK, and came to Canada in 1877.
