Boxer Point (50˚50'00" 127˚39'00" SE end of Nigei I, N of Vancouver I). Alexander Fraser Boxer, born about 1830, was master of 17-gun HMS Alert, under Cdr William Pearse, and served on the BC coast, 1858–61. He had been active during the Crimean War aboard HMS Beagle and went on to command the storeship HMS Hesper in 1862. Boxer retired from the RN as a lt in 1870.
