Boyles Point

Boyles Point (50˚49'00" 127˚01'00" W entrance to Wells Passage, Queen Charlotte Str, N of Malcolm I). Capt Charles Boyles (1756–1816) achieved much acclaim as an RN officer. In 1794, as cdr of HMS Swiftsure, he captured the French frigate L’Atalante and its famous cdr, Charles-Alexandre Durand, Compte de Linois.
