Brant Point (49˚19'00" 124˚16'00" S of Parksville, E side of Vancouver I). This name was suggested by BC Parks and adopted in 1975. The point, in Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, is a favourite gathering spot for brant geese (Branta bernicla), which use the beaches here as staging and feeding zones when migrating to northern Canada and Alaska each spring.
