Bray Island


Bray Island (52˚16'03" 128˚42'30" W of S end of Price I, NW of Bella Bella). Marshall Bidwell Bray (1840–1912) was born at Halton, Ont, and came to the Cariboo in 1862 in search of gold. He settled at Nanaimo in 1876, where he worked as a carpenter and at James Abrams’s general store, and was appointed government agent in 1880, a position he held for 30 years.
