Breton Islands (50˚07'00" 125˚11'00" E of Open Bay, Quadra I, N of Str of Georgia). Named sometime prior to 1919, possibly after Dr William Edward Breton (d 1914), an RN surgeon who served on the BC coast in the late 1870s with HMS Opal and retired in 1908.
