Brockton Island

Brockton Island (50˚29'00" 127˚46'00" W of Drake I, Quatsino Sd, N end of Vancouver I), Brockton Point (49˚18'00" 123˚07'00" E point of Stanley Park, W side of Vancouver Hbr). Francis Brockton was chief engineer of the survey vessel Plumper under Capt George Richards, who explored Burrard Inlet in 1859 and named Brockton Point and nearby Coal Hbr (qv).
