Buckley Bay (49˚31'00" 124˚51'00" W side of Baynes Sd, S of Courtenay, E side of Vancouver I). The origin of the name is uncertain, though a Samuel Buckley is listed in the 1898 BC voters list as a farmer residing at nearby Union Bay. The Coast Salish name for the bay is Tamxwayksen. A terminus for a ferry to Denman I was established at this location in 1952.
