Burrill Point

Burrill Point (48˚52'00" 123˚19'00" S of Sturdies Bay, SE side of Galiano I, Gulf Is). Joseph Burrill (1870–1957), from Yorkshire, came to Galiano I in 1896 and farmed on the island’s SE corner. Frederick James Burrill (1867–1952), his older brother, arrived in 1899. They opened a general store in 1903, which they expanded and owned until 1947.
