Caffery Point (48˚20'00" 123˚36'00" N side of Becher Bay, S end of Vancouver I). Mary Ann Caffery (1853–1936) and her seven children moved to E Sooke from Prevost I in 1888 after the death of her sea capt husband, Thomas Caffery. They were a pioneer farming family, and the Caffery House, built by James Caffery (1874–1938) in the 1890s, is one of the district’s heritage homes.
