Cain Peninsula


Cain Peninsula (48˚53'00" 123˚19'00" SE side of Galiano I, Gulf Is), Cain Point (N end of Cain Peninsula). William Cain (1847–1928) came to Canada from England in 1867 and lived on Mayne I as well as Galiano I. A carpenter and cabinetmaker by trade, he built a home on Galiano in 1894 that featured elaborate, hand-carved woodwork.
