Camp Bay

Camp Bay (48˚44'00" 123˚11'00" SE end of S Pender I, Gulf Is). Local lore has it that a campsite was established at this location in the old days by island sheep owners and sometimes used by sheep thieves. The name appears on an Admiralty chart dated 1859, however, so it is more likely that the camp was associated with early RN surveyors or a First Nation group.
