Cannery Bay

Cannery Bay (48˚41'00" 124˚51'00" Near mouth of Nitinat R, SE of Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I). The Nitinat Cannery was built here, just inside the Nitinat Narrows, by the Lummi Bay Packing Co about 1917. The operation changed hands several times and was owned by Nitinat Packers Ltd in 1924, Gosse Packing Co in 1927 and BC Packers Ltd in 1928.
