Cannery Channel (49˚07'00" 123˚10'00" Mouth of the Fraser R, between Steveston I and Lulu I). In 1895, when Steveston was the “salmon capital of the world,” a dozen canneries lined the S shore of Lulu I: Atlas, Gulf of Georgia, Star, Steveston, Lulu I, Brunswick, Imperial, Phoenix, Britannia, Pacific Coast, Beaver and Canadian Pacific.
