Canniff Point (51˚27'00" 127˚38'00" SE point of Ripon I, Rivers Inlet). According to BC historians Helen and Philip Akrigg, Canniff was the name of a young nurse working at Dr George Darby’s Rivers Inlet hospital at the time a new coastal survey was being conducted in the late 1930s. The name was adopted in 1947.
