Cap Rocks

Cap Rocks (48˚41'00" 123˚23'00" Off SW side of Coal I and NE Saanich Peninsula, N of Victoria). The name, adopted by the hydrographic service in 1965 as a well-established term, refers to Capt Frederick Lewis, who purchased Coal I in 1939 and used the rocks as a lookout to watch for vessels coming up John Passage.
