Carne Bay


Carne Bay (52˚52'00" 129˚02'00" E side of Racey Inlet, W side of Princess Royal I), Carne Island (52˚59'00" 129˚36'00" Head of Gillen Hbr, Estevan I, N side of Caamaño Sd), Carne Rock (52˚18'00" 128˚22'00" Reid Passage, NW of Bella Bella). Named after members of Victoria’s pioneer Carne family. Frederick Carne (1829–1904), born in Cornwall, UK, came to eastern Canada in the 1850s as a miner.
