Carolina Channel (48˚55'15" 125˚31'50" S of Ucluelet, Barkley Sd, W side of Vancouver I), Carolina Islands (54˚20'00" 130˚25'00" Venn Passage, just E of Metlakatla, NW of Prince Rupert), Carolina Reef (48˚26'00" 123˚16'00" Just N of Chain Its, off Oak Bay, SE end of Vancouver I). The 14-m, 50-tonne schooner Carolina was built by Franklin Sherman, a Port Townsend shipwright.
