Cavin Cove (52˚11'00" 128˚08'00" NE side of Campbell I, N of Bella Bella). Probably named after George W Cavin (1849–1930), master of the Beaver and other early HBC vessels on the BC coast. Possibly after John Cavin (1852–1924), also a master mariner and tugboat capt. The two men were brothers and came to BC from NB along with a third brother, Robert Samuel Cavin (1855–1933), who farmed at Saanich and Cobble Hill.
