Chain Islets


Chain Islets (48˚25'00" 123˚16'00" Between Discovery I and Oak Bay, off SE tip of Vancouver I). The purely descriptive name of Chain Is was given by Capt Henry Kellett of HMS Herald in 1847, while surveying the area. It was changed to Chain Its in 1934. These rocky features figure in Songhees First Nation creation myths.
