Chasina Island


Chasina Island (50˚17'00" 125˚13'00" Okisollo Channel, between Quadra I and Maurelle I, N of Campbell R). This First Nation name, its meaning unknown, was chosen by the Union Steamship Co, which often used Okisollo Channel, for one of its vessels. The Chasina was originally built at Glasgow in 1881 as the Santa Cecilia, private pleasure craft of Sir Henry Paget, 4th Marquis of Anglesey.
