Cheeseman Rock


Cheeseman Rock (52˚10'00" 128˚33'00" SW entrance to Milbanke Sd, SW of Bardswell Group, W of Bella Bella). Named for Jane Cheeseman (1832–97, née Dyke), who arrived in Victoria in 1853 from England aboard the HBC supply ship Norman Morison. Her husband, Richard (c 1820–62), who had worked for the HBC at Victoria since 1850 but returned to the UK to marry, accompanied her.
