Cherry Islets (53˚14'00" 129˚29'00" Off SE side of Pitt I). Cpl Frank A Cherry, from Penticton, was killed in action Apr 10, 1945, aged 21, while serving in Europe with the Canadian Scottish Regiment. He is buried at the Holten Canadian War Cemetery in the Netherlands. The name was adopted by the hydrographic service in 1950.
