Chesterman Beach (49 ̊07'00" 125 ̊53'00" Just S of Tofino, W side of Vancouver I). John Phillip Chesterman (1867–1913) received Crown land grants on the Esowista Peninsula, opposite Chesterman Beach, in 1900 and 1912. His wife, Elizabeth Ann Adams, whom he married at Victoria in 1901, also acquired Crown grants in the area in 1915 and 1917.
