Chisholm Island

Chisholm Island (48˚48'00" 123˚36'00" In Birds Eye Cove, Maple Bay, SE side of Vancouver I). A man named Chisholm was reportedly the earliest resident of this area. He lived just S of the head of Birds Eye Cove and worked as a land inspector. (This is probably either Joseph Chisholm or William Chisholm, both of whom are described in the 1898 BC voters list as farmers at Maple Bay. Other Chisholms lived at Quamichan and Genoa Bay.)
