Christie Islet (49˚30'00" 123˚18'00" S of Anvil I, Howe Sd, NW of Vancouver). This bird sanctuary was originally known as Centre I. To avoid confusion with other Centre islands, the name was changed in 1945 to Cynthia I, after the Union Steamship Co vessel Lady Cynthia, which operated in Howe Sd. In 1948, for reasons unknown, the name was changed again, to Christie It, but the significance of this last name has not been recorded.
