Christie Point (48˚27'00" 123˚25'00" S side of Portage Inlet, NW of Victoria Hbr). John Christie owned historic Craigflower Farm near Victoria in the 1930s and ’40s. While he did accomplish some restoration of the heritage 1856 manor house and its furnishings, he also imposed numerous indignities on the site, leasing parts of it as a service station and Big Ben’s Burger House, demolishing old outbuildings and erecting a motel.
