Church Cove


Church Cove (48˚48'30" 123˚11'51" NW side of Saturna I, Gulf Is). Saturna I’s first church was located here in 1899. A log cabin that had been used by Japanese fishermen as a boathouse was converted to a church by Rev Hubert St John Payne and George Bradley-Dyne. Called St Christopher’s but never consecrated, the building was still standing as a private chapel in the early 2000s. A more modern St Christopher’s Anglican church was built and dedicated elsewhere on Saturna in 1963....
