Cinque Islands


Cinque Islands (50˚18'00" 125˚24'00" Off SW side of Sonora I, N end of Discovery Passage, N of Campbell R). Named after the Cinque Ports, a string of seaport towns on the Kent and Sussex coasts in SE England, which were granted special privileges about 1150–1550 in return for providing coastal defence services.
