Clanninick Cove


Clanninick Cove (50˚02'00" 127˚24'00" Just NW of Kyuquot, NW side of Vancouver I). Clanninick (or Kai-ne-nitt) was a Kyuquot First Nation chief at Aktis on Village I near the entrance to Kyuquot Sd. In 1862 he helped Lt Philip Hankin (see Hankin I) and Dr Charles Wood of HMS Hecate, who had been instructed by Capt George Richards to explore N Vancouver I on foot.
