Clarke Cove


Clarke Cove (52˚58'00" 129˚11'00" N of Chapple Inlet, W side of Princess Royal I). Capt Charles Edward Clarke (1854–1925) was born in Somerset, UK, and came to BC about 1874. He was master of the coastal steamers Juanita and Alert before joining the sealing fleet in 1889. Clarke later served for many years as Victoria’s harbourmaster and port warden.
