Cleland Island


Cleland Island (49˚10'00" 126˚05'00" SW of Blunden I, W of Vargas I, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Fletcher Henderson Cleland obtained a Crown grant for land on the W side of Vargas I in 1916. Cleland I, 7.7 ha, was one of BC’s first ecological reserves, established in 1971, and is closed to the public.
