Cliffe Point


Cliffe Point (50˚28'00" 127˚56'00" S entrance to Quatsino Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). Capt Thomas Cliffe (1886–1947) served with the CPR’s BC Coast Steamship Service as master of the Princess Elaine and Princess Charlotte. He was born and died at Comox (see Cliffe Rock and also Harmston I) and married Annie Sewell Palmer (1890–1973) in 1913 at New Westminster. The point was formerly known as Bold Bluff but was renamed by the hydrographic service in 1927.
