Collinson Point


Collinson Point (48˚52'00" 123˚21'00" SW point of Galiano I, Gulf Is). William Tonkins “Tom” Collinson (1840–1911), a native of Yorkshire, arrived in BC in 1858 in pursuit of gold. In the 1870s he moved to Mayne I, where he opened a store at Miners Bay, was appointed postmaster and magistrate, and farmed.
