Conroy Island

Conroy Island (52˚31'00" 129˚24'00" Off SW side of Aristazabal I). Virtually nothing is known about Sapper James Conroy, who was a member of the Columbia detachment of Royal Engineers, which served in BC 1858–63. The island was formerly known as S Gander I but was renamed by the hydrographic service in 1927.
