Cook Island

Cook Island (50˚35'00" 126˚32'00" In Beware Passage, N of Harbledown I and W Johnstone Str). Lance Cpl Edwin Victor Cook, from Alert Bay, was killed in action on Sept 30, 1944, while serving in the Netherlands with the Calgary Highlanders, Royal Canadian Infantry Corps. He is buried at Bergen-op-Zoom Canadian War Cemetery, NW of Antwerp.
