Cooper Reach

Cooper Reach (50˚41'00" 125˚28'00" Head of Loughborough Inlet, N of E Johnstone Str). Lt Henry Towry Miles Cooper (1839–1877) of the Royal Marines, born in Berkshire, UK, served in China, 1856–59, and was involved in the capture of Canton. He was part of a volunteer group of about 165 marines sent from China to BC in HMS Tribune in 1859.
